In the aftermath of the recent global pandemic, Watson Realty Corp. owner and founder William A. Watson, Jr. decided it was time to give some of his offices a facelift, including his St. Marys office, led by LaVonda Turner.
Clients and agents are immediately greeted by a gorgeous stone feature wall donning Watson’s logo proudly displayed in brushed stainless-steel letters. The overhaul also included the removal of several walls to create a modern, open-concept space which flows seamlessly from room to room. New lighting and luxury wood plank floors were installed throughout, and a brand-new kitchenette boasts pristine quartz countertops, shaker cabinets, and an oak dining table. A spacious conference room adorns an artful and custom feature-wall with crisscross molding painted slate gray, and the work room comes fully equipped with personalized workstations separated by clear glass partitions and a center cabinet containing tidy and well-organized cubbies for office supplies. Other upgrades include a brand-new bathroom, dove-gray shiplap wall, high-end rugs, and plush, comfy velvet furniture.
The implications of a beautiful work environment for businesses are profound as people are reentering the office environment and the aesthetics of workplaces and its impact on employee wellbeing boost productivity and retention. A “home-like” atmosphere makes people feel at ease, enables them to get up and walk around, grab a cup of coffee, or socialize over lunch in a kitchen setting. Plus, a clean and beautiful work environment shows that employers care about their people and are willing to invest in them.
Another huge perk is the impact on Watson’s customers. Bill Watson knows that if you want to improve your customer experience, you should start by looking around the office and ask yourself how guests feel when they enter your place of business. This points to elements that separate extraordinary businesses from the subpar.
Turner states of the recent changes: “We love it and we’re getting rave reviews from clients, families, and tenants.” I think that sums it up!
