Watson Realty Corp.’s Bill Watson III Attends Exclusive Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® Global Symposium in Cascais, Portugal

Jacksonville, FL – Wednesday, October 12, 2022 – Bill Watson III, Chief Business Development Officer of Watson Realty Corp. alongside his wife Jennifer, attended the exclusive Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® Global Symposium in Cascais, Portugal on September 29 – October 1. Third generation born in Jacksonville, Watson, III is on the board of directors for LeadingRE and is the son of Watson Realty Corp. founder and Chairman, William Watson, Jr. He graduated from Stetson University with a bachelor’s degree in finance and joined his father’s company as a Mortgage Loan Originator in February 1997.  

The three-day weekend of learning workshops and networking was held at the Grande Real Villa Itália Hotel & Spa located in the heart of town, a mesmerizing setting of sandy beaches, turquoise waters, and charming history. This year’s motto was “Together, the future is ‘Limitless!’” and the event attracted an elite group of brokers, managers, and sales associates from around the globe. The action-packed agenda included multiple workshops on topics like trends in buyer and seller behavior, post-pandemic listings, hot pockets of demand, and challenges for brokers, to name a few. 

On Thursday, all were invited to attend an opening general session which discussed the influences, trends, and conditions that affect the Portuguese real estate market. Afterward, guests were invited to a welcome reception where they enjoyed cocktails and watched the sun set over the Atlantic on the Villa’s picturesque Loggia Terrace. 

Notable LeadingRE keynote speakers included President & CEO, Paul Boomsma, Chairman of the Board, Mike Pappas, and Chief Economist Marci Rossell, who delivered a unique perspective on important economic factors that are impacting their industry. Also in the lineup was Wellbeing, Mindset & Performance Expert George Anderson who addressed actionable strategies for cultivating resilience and achieving top performance. On Friday, Watson III and his wife attended a black-tie awards gala held in the Villa’s esteemed Principe de Sabóia Room where they celebrated the dedication and excellence of fellow LeadingRE members.  

“The conversations with international members were very engaging. There were more than 30 different counties represented at this meeting and the face-to-face interactions allowed for extremely open and honest conversations. I feel that I am not alone in learning and taking home a lot from both the panels and the individual participants.” Watson III said of the symposium.
