Watson Realty Corp.’s Doris Arnold Attends Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s “A Night Under the Stars” Fundraising Gala

Ponte Vedra Beach, FL – Thursday, October 20, 2022 – Doris Arnold, LeadingRE Relocation Specialist and REALTOR® for Watson Realty Corp., alongside her husband Charlie, attended Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s (JDRF) “A Night Under the Stars” Gala held at the Tournament Players Club at Sawgrass on Thursday, October 13.  

Dubbed a “Party with a Purpose,” approximately 285 people attended the event which consisted of dinner, dancing, and live and silent auctions which cumulatively raised $600K – surpassing their goal of $567K – all of which will help fund research to end type 1 diabetes (T1D). A wonderful time was had by all as they danced the night away for a great cause.  

Arnold became involved with JDRF after her grandson Noah was diagnosed with T1D when he was only 2-and-a-half years old, and she fondly remembers how the volunteers educated her son and daughter-in-law on the disease. Arnold is proud to say that Noah is now 8 years old and is very active in sports and said, “Type 1 has not slowed him down, but we’re all hoping and praying for a cure.” 

Watson partners with JDRF as a corporate sponsor at the silver level, contributing $3,500 annually to the cause.

A 20-year veteran of Watson Realty Corp., Arnold had this to say: “Type 1 is a terrible disease that primarily affects our little ones. With the help of JDRF and the community, it can be managed but we are hoping for a cure and a way to prevent it so it does not affect any more of our children. However, with proper knowledge and management of the disease, those with it can live a full and active life with no restrictions.”
