Treasure Coast

Florida's Treasure Coast is a beautiful and storied place packed with natural wonders and rich history. No matter where your interests lie, there's always something new to see and do. Where to begin your adventure? Our real estate agents have a few suggestions that might appeal to you!

Whether you enjoy miles of white sand beaches, the striking sights and sounds of Florida's unique marshland, or world-class museums just steps from the sea, the Treasure Coast is bursting with fun surprises for the whole family. Here are just five of the great experiences you could choose:

  1. Jonathan Dickinson State Park – 16451 Southeast Federal Highway, Hobe Sound, FL 33454
Jonathan Dickinson State Park is the place to go to enjoy a wide range of watercraft activities independently. Canoes, kayaks, and motorboats are all available for rent, as are single-speed cruiser bicycles. Guided nature tours take an abundance of forms, including the hallmark interpretive boat tours, the horse-drawn tram tours, and the guided horseback rides, many of which are available for a low cost.

  2. The SS Breconshire – 1050 Beachland Boulevard, Vero Beach, FL 32963
The SS Breconshire is a shallow water shipwreck that welcomes snorkelers of all experience levels. After going down in the spring of 1894, in the last leg of a journey from New York to Tampa, the vessel quickly became a part of the natural ecosystem along with the reef it struck. Now it's a home to snails, crabs, and countless types of undersea flora, it can easily be explored on your own or as part of a tour group.

  3. The Mel Fisher Treasure Museum – 1322 US Highway 1, Sebastian, FL 32958
The Mel Fisher Treasure Museum commemorates the history of the Spanish treasure fleet that was to be one of the largest ever to return from the New World. Renowned treasure hunter Mel Fisher spent seven years salvaging the doomed 1715 fleet, which went down mere miles from the Florida coast – giving it its lasting nickname of the "Treasure Coast." Dozens of his finds remain on display here today.

  4. Captain Bob's Airboat Adventures – See Website for Location in Vero Beach, FL 32966
Across the Treasure Coast, the Indian River is the body of water that attracts the most airboat tours. Captain Bob's Airboat Adventures is one pick that touts itself as the most popular. Captain Bob made a name for himself as the first skipper to journey forth on this route in 2004, setting a standard for narrated boat tours others have sought to emulate ever since. Experience Florida's marshlands like never before!

  5. Riverwalk Boardwalk – 2200 Southeast Veterans Memorial Parkway, Port St. Lucie, FL 34952
Port St. Lucie's Riverwalk Boardwalk is an iconic local attraction stretching from beloved Tom Hooper Park to the Veterans Park at Rivergate boat ramps. Along the way, you'll explore hundreds of feet of wooded mangroves, representing one of the most important features of Florida's natural landscape. With a 10-foot boardwalk and observation deck, it will soon be expanded with a newly planned park.
