March 20-22, near Winter Park homes for sale, artists from all over will display breathtaking artworks of all types throughout Central Park and all along Park Avenue, for a chance to win cash, prizes, and acclaim. There are many categories, from watercolors and pastels to sculpture, jewelry, and digital art. There's also a Children's Workshop with hands-on activities to help kids learn about the art-making process.
Every year, the streets near Mount Dora homes for sale are filled with art, as over 200 artists come together for the Mount Dora Spring Festival of Arts. Now in its 29th year, it began as an antique show before expanding to include handcrafted wares and art of all kinds. The event also features food vendors and live street performers. Running March 21-22 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the festival is free to attend.
Any film lover will want to check out the Florida Film Festival. Beginning April 10th, over 170 films from 41 countries are screened over 10 days at this Oscar-qualifying festival. There's also a host of events, including an opening night party and an awards ceremony. It's a great opportunity to mingle with other film lovers while seeing some of the best features and shorts from around the world.
Mount Dora is known for its blueberries, and there's no better way to celebrate that than at the Mount Dora Blueberry Festival. It starts with a Blueberry Pancake Breakfast, followed by a Blueberry Pie-Eating Contest, plus an opportunity to pick fresh blueberries from local farms, and plenty of fresh-baked blueberry pies. Free to attend, the event runs April 25-26, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
