Pickleball in Florida

Pickleball's surge in popularity over the last 10 years hasn't missed Central Florida. So if you're looking for a great place to play in the area, you're in luck. These are our real estate agents' favorite pickleball courts in and around Orlando, including free public facilities as well as pay-to-play courts. Just in time for National Pickleball Day

  • Orlando Racket Sports - 7059 S Orange Blossom Trl, Orlando, FL 32809
A convenient place to play pickleball indoors, Orlando Racket Sports is a large sports center just a few minutes from the heart of Downtown Orlando. Fully air conditioned and spanning 40,000 square feet, it's a popular spot to play pickleball on hot or rainy days. Orlando Racket Sports offers six pickleball courts with affordable rates—typically $11, with a reduced price of $8 from 9 am to 3 pm Monday through Friday.

  • Veteran's Memorial Park - 420 S Park Ave, Winter Garden, FL 34787
Located just west of Orlando near the shores of Lake Apopka in Winter Garden, Veteran's Memorial Park offers 10 public outdoor pickleball courts. These asphalt courts have permanent nets and painted lines, and they're open free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. It's a popular spot, so competition for a court can be fierce, but the park is a beautiful place to play and meet some of your fellow athletes. On "Advanced Play Nights" every Monday and Wednesday, several courts are turned over to competitive play, with the winners of each game remaining on the court.

  • Pickle X - 6112 Hanging Moss Rd, Orlando, FL 32807
Orlando's first exclusive, members-only pickleball club, Pickle X opened in 2023 and has quickly established itself as a community hub for serious pickleheads. Pickle X offers some of the best premium indoor pickleball facilities in the area, and they offer a wide range of membership options to suit any budget and level of dedication.

  • Cady Way Park - 2525 Cady Way Trail, Winter Park, FL 32792
Cady Way Park in the city of Winter Park offers some of the oldest pickleball courts in Central Florida. That makes this a very popular spot, especially considering that the six permanent courts in this park are available for free to the general public. Cady Way Park also offers two tennis courts, two softball fields, and a swimming pool. It's a friendly, welcoming place to play pickleball, but it's wise to get there early or expect to wait your turn.

  • Dover Shores Neighborhood Center - 1400 Gaston Foster Rd, Orlando, FL 32812
A popular community spot for a wide range of sports and activities, the Dover Shores Neighborhood Center offers six outdoor pickleball courts. These courts are open to anyone who wants to play on a first-come, first-served basis. Dover Shores Neighborhood Center is a clean, well-maintained facility that's great for all ages, and it also features a pool, fitness center, playground, and multi-purpose space.

  • East Lake Park - 10193 Lake District Ln, Orlando, FL 32832
Some of the newest pickleball courts in the Orlando area can be found at East Lake Park near Lake Nona. Owned and maintained by the City of Orlando, the park was recently renovated to turn its two tennis courts into four pickleball courts. It's still a bit of an under-the-radar spot, but don't expect that to last long! These spacious new courts and facilities provide an excellent place to play, so it's bound to become a popular spot.
