Few activities say "fun in the sun" like an energetic game of sand volleyball. Get a great workout while indulging your competitive spirit at these wonderful sand volleyball courts around Central Florida. 

  • Festival Park - 2911 E. Robinson St., Orlando, FL 32803
    There's always something lively going on at Festival Park. With 16 acres of open space, there's plenty of room for sand volleyball courts. If the popular sand courts are already full, head on over to the traditional volleyball court. Add some variety to your outdoor activities with the biking and walking trails and fitness stations. Leashed dogs are welcome anywhere but the athletic fields. Be sure to pack a picnic lunch with plenty of doggie biscuits! Park hours are 5 a.m. - sunset, seven days a week. 

  • UCF Recreation & Wellness Center - 4000 Central Florida Blvd., Orlando, FL 32816
    It's no surprise that the school's beautiful campus would be the site of a state-of-the-art fitness facility. UCF Recreation & Wellness Center hosts a wide variety of outdoor activities, from swimming and tennis to basketball and softball. Four sand volleyball courts are located between the leisure pool and the tennis courts, while two more are near the beach with stunning views of Lake Claire. Use of the courts is free for UCF students, with reduced rates for faculty and staff. The fee for public groups is $40 per hour. Courts are open daily from dawn until 10 p.m. 

  • Red Bug Lake Park - 3600 Red Bug Lake Rd., Casselberry, FL 32707
    Red Bug Lake Park gets high marks from visitors for its tranquil setting and well-maintained grounds. In addition to the sand volleyball court, there's something for every member of the family. The half-mile fitness trail includes exercise stations along the way that incorporate cardio and strength training. Get in on a pickup basketball or soccer game while the little ones cavort at the multiple playgrounds. The picturesque namesake lake draws fishing and boating enthusiasts as well as walkers, runners, and bikers along the trail that circles it. Keep an eye open for the wild peacocks that occasionally make an appearance. Red Bug Lake Park is open weekdays from 8 a.m. - 10 p.m and weekends from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.

  • Northwest Recreation Complex - 3710 Jason Dwelley Pkwy., Apopka, FL 32712
    You'll find yourself returning to Northwest Recreation Complex again and again to take advantage of the seemingly endless amenities. The sprawling, 180-acre grounds feature four sand volleyball courts. When you want to switch it up, you'll find facilities for baseball, softball, basketball, flag football, lacrosse, soccer, and tennis. As if that wasn't enough, there's an outdoor gym and a walking trail that's just under one mile. Once you've worked up a sweat, take time to relax with a concert at the Apopka Amphitheater onsite. Events include "Saturday Sounds," a free family-friendly series held on select dates. NRC is open from 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. daily except weekends, when closing time is 8 p.m.

  • Lake Druid Park - 899 Coy Dr., Orlando, FL 32803
    Lake Druid Park is a charming oasis in the center of an urban location, making it easy to get in a game of sand volleyball. Kids love the mountain bike area with pump tracks and a single-track trail. Bring Fido along to get some fresh air and sunshine in the fenced dog run. Lake Druid Park is open daily from 9 a.m. until 30 minutes before sunset.
