Jacksonville Florida

Are you looking to get ahead of the next big real estate trend? If you had purchased a home or started a business 10 years ago in a city like Austin, Texas, then you'd be extremely happy with how your investment turned out a decade later and the latest market forecast from the National Association of REALTORS (NAR) suggests that Jacksonville is a big-time city to watch for major growth in the coming years. Our real estate agents have more details on the data and on why so many new residents love calling Jacksonville home.

Jacksonville: A Housing Market to Watch in 2023

As part of its annual market forecast, the NAR identifies 10 cities that have all of the ingredients to become housing market hot spots in the next year. The list is aimed at identifying "The Next Austin" so that you can get in on the ground floor. In order to qualify for this list, a city needs to have reasonably affordable housing options, a consistent trend of recent population growth, and a job market where new, high-paying jobs are being created regularly.

Jacksonville ranks strongly in all three categories, so it's no surprise that Jacksonville homes for sale are expected to be a popular choice for the rest of 2023 and beyond. Interestingly, every city on "The Next Austin" list for 2023 is located in the South. So even if you'd prefer to live in a smaller community, there are many great places around Northeast Florida that stand to benefit from the overall growth and positive real estate trends in the region.

Of course, finding the right place to call home is about more than just making a smart, forward-thinking financial investment. You also want to love the place where you live, and Jacksonville delivers in a major way on that front as well.

  • A Growing City Filled with Outdoor Adventures
With more than 22 miles of beaches and more than 1,100 miles of navigable water along the coast, Jacksonville has a longer shoreline than any other city in the United States. All of that shoreline means that there are plenty of fantastic fishing spots in Jacksonville, including along the St. John's River, which runs for 29 miles within the city. Of course, outdoor fun in Jacksonville isn't restricted to the waterfront. The city also has an outstanding public park system and countless other local outdoor attractions to be explored.

  • Discover Art, History, and Coastal Cuisine in Jacksonville
While outdoor beauty is a highlight, Jacksonville also offers all of the other perks you'd expect from a large, growing city. There's an outstanding selection of art museums, performance venues, and public art to be found all around Jacksonville, while history enthusiasts will love exploring the many historic neighborhoods in the city. After all of that exploring, settle in for a meal with some world-class Jacksonville seafood or a cold drink at one of many local craft breweries.

  • A Convenient Home Base for Exploring Florida and Beyond
While you will, of course, find everything you need close to home in Jacksonville, one of the cool things about living here is the convenient, central location to so many popular vacation destinations in Florida and beyond. With easy access to both I-95 and I-10, adventure awaits when you live in Jacksonville.
