Tammy McKinley was raised in Lexington, Kentucky. She recalls driving around town with her mother in an old beat up station wagon as a child marveling at the homes and landscape in the area together. This quality bonding time with her mother influenced her love of home, garden and design. In 1987, she attended the University of Kentucky and the Savannah College of Art and Design for photography. For over 20 years she exhibited in galleries in Savannah, Georgia; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and Los Angeles, CA; was nationally recognized as an award winning staff photojournalist for newspapers; was published in textbooks, movies, newspapers, magazines, television, private collections, and websites around the world. In August of 2012, Tammy left her job in Texas as a photojournalist to move to Jacksonville, Fl. to concentrate on her two loves, art and real estate. She is an active participant in the local art community and owns a home in Avondale with her fiancÚ and two loving dogs. Her hobbies and interests are home renovation, gardening, hiking, photography, art, antiques, and travel. Tammy is determined to satisfying your unique real estate needs. Her previous work as a photojournalist taught her persistence, patience, and how to enthusiastically find creative solutions to challenging situations.
