I was born in Hood River, Oregon. At age 4, we moved to Juneau, AK. After living in Juneau for 10 years, I moved to Anchorage where I finished school. Seeking a different lifestyle, I moved to Austin, TX for two years, then to Kansas City, Mo. for 2 years. Being a bit of a gypsy, I moved again to Dallas, TX where I became a paralegal. Eventually, I decided it was better to be with family, so I moved to Albuquerque, NM where my parents had settled. 2 years was enough for me and I landed in Tampa, FL where I met my husband and started our family. After having 2 boys and 2 girls, we became busy parents. My husband was transferred to Oklahoma, Colorado and back to Florida. Our kids were involved in BMX bike racing and Dave and I ended up as volunteer operators of a BMX track in Oklahoma and three different tracks in Oldsmar, Saint Augustine and Middleburg, FL. We lived in Saint Augustine, FL for over 10 years before buying our home in Palm Coast last year. We share our home with two daughters, a german shepherd, a chocolate lab, a Heinz 57, and an African Grey parrot. Never a dull moment in our house! Throughout my career as a paralegal and later as a customer service manager, I found that I have a keen eye for detail and a passion for helping people. In addition, I love looking at homes! I'm an HGTV addict, much to my husband's dismay. He will reluctantly admit that he has learned a few things by watching it though. I really enjoy working with first-time homebuyers and veterans. For most of us, owning a home is a dream we start thinking about when we are in our 20's. When it actually becomes a reality depends on what path our life takes. Trying to save money when we already have children is tough! It is equally difficult to think about buying a home when military families are always moving. The journey can be a long one, full of frustration and fear of the unknown. A realtor can help by explaining the process, step by step. Financing is more affordable than ever, with special programs for first time home buyers to assist with the down payment, VA zero-down loans, etc. It is possible to purchase a home for no money out of your pocket. I know, because we did it a year ago. I can show you how to do it too. If you are looking for your starter home, needing to sell the home you have outgrown, or empty nesters wanting to downsize, it would be my privilege to help you achieve your goals. Whether you are looking in St. Johns County, Flagler or Volusia County, I can help you find your little piece of paradise!
