Kim E. Alexander, Biography
Life experience is the only thing that can provide breadth of knowledge and the patience of understanding. Kim Alexander lived an idyllic childhood from the farm to the beach. She embraced and harnessed each experience to build a versatile life. And it has helped her develop and maintain a consistent search for purpose.
Kim grew up in Long Island, New York in a large home on the Peconic Bay with her parents and younger brother. She says she lived a fairytale childhood, spending a lot of time on her grandfather’s farm. As she grew older, the family moved to The Hampton’s, providing a different type of lifestyle altogether. And after she married, she spent four years as a military spouse in California. These experiences helped her gain a greater understanding of the world at large.
Although her versatile lifestyle provided some incredible experiences, those were sometimes accompanied by the trials of misfortune. When she was just four years old, she almost died from pneumonia. Even at this young age, she had a spiritual experience which still guides her today, and is the force behind finding purpose in all she does. Throughout many other challenges along the way, she leaned on those experiences to raise four sons and run several businesses. She moved to Florida in 1991, and continues to call Debary Florida her home.
Over the last 23 years, Kim has flipped homes and currently has several rental properties. She also has extensive experience in the landscaping business. Many years ago she decided to put her versatility and life experience to work in real estate, her career passion. Today she has her Real Estate Brokers License and she enjoys helping growing families, executives and retirees to locate and market homes in luxury communities so they can achieve the lifestyle they deserve. She also assists with relocation efforts both to and from the area. She lives in a golf community herself and understands the appeal of an active and adventurous quality of life. And that’s exactly why she’s known as Florida’s Lifestyle Locator.
When Kim isn’t working with her clients, she enjoys sharing time with her family, including her four grandchildren. Although her Dad has since passed, her Mom lives nearby, and she travels to visit her younger brother and his family often. Montana is often a vacation destination for visiting her second oldest son and his beautiful family .She says some of her most enlightening experiences, though, come from raising her youngest son, who is autistic. He has been a tremendous influence on her life, teaching her patience and understanding. He currently works at a local business in the community and has achieved his Associate of Arts degree from Daytona State College. Challenges come and go in life, but a sense of purpose never fades.
