Wekiva, FL Local Area Economy

Although the number one industry in the Greater Orlando Metropolitan area is the leisure and hospitality industry, the area is also a member of the 23 county Florida High Tech Corridor (FHTC). This includes Seminole County and the Wekiva area. The FHTC was established in order to grow the high tech industry in the 23 member counties in conjunction with three university systems including the University of Central Florida.
