The Casselberry Art House, located behind City Hall in Anniversary Park, provides a venue for art classes, art exhibits and musical performances. Adjacent to the Art House, residents can enjoy a walk through the sculpture garden. Classes for children, adults and seniors are offered in mediums from oil painting to pottery sculpting. In addition, the city also organizes dance classes for children and adults. Whether learning ballet, the waltz or line dancing, Casselberry has something to offer everyone.
Greater Orlando cultural activities include Broadway theater productions, the Orlando Ballet, the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and a vast selection of area museums. Both the Orlando Museum of Art and the Orlando Science Center are accredited by the American Association of Museums in response to their commitment to educational and cultural programs.
The Orlando Ballet and the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra produce traditional programs as well as programs geared for families with younger children. Numerous Broadway shows are presented at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Center each year. Theater groups bring the allure of Broadway to downtown Orlando with productions from Cats to The Color Purple.
Orlando hosts an abundance of street fairs and festivals throughout the year. For theater, music and dance lovers, the Orlando International Fringe Festival celebrates performers and their crafts during the 12 days leading up to Memorial Day. The Florida Film Festival comes to town in the spring and residents can enjoy the food, music and wine at the Orlando Food and Wine Festival in the fall.
