Based on proprietary and validated research conducted by LeadingRE with 300 sales managers, the rigorous MAESTRO program encompasses three pillars of great office leadership, as determined by the research. It is the first program of its kind in the industry, with the goal of using science and art to establish and practice leadership mastery.

  • Five Ways To Smarten Up Your Home

    by Watson Realty | Nov 02, 2017

From smart TVs to smartphones, just about every device you interact with is equipped with functionality to make your life easier. With the rise of intelligent systems like smart lights and Wi-Fi-enabled kitchen devices, even basic household tasks are a little easier to manage.

Whether you're looking to automate and regulate things around your house or you're hoping to save some extra time and money, these five pieces of smart home technology are sure to enhance your life.

Automated Light Systems & Smart Bulbs

Automated lighting systems and smart LED bulbs, like Wink Bright or Philips Hue, are energy-efficient and can be programmed with your smartphone to turn on and off at certain times of the day. Motion-sensing technology can even detect your presence and switch the lights on or off accordingly, ensuring you're not inflating your power bill.

    Smart Sprinkler Systems

Wi-Fi-enabled smart sprinkler control systems, like Rachio, can help you maintain a lush, healthy lawn while conserving water, time, and money. You can access the system from your smartphone or tablet to create watering zones, schedule times, and adjust amounts. If true automation is what you seek, Rachio can automatically adapt settings based on local weather conditions and soil moisture.

    Thermostats That Learn Your Preferences
Smart thermostats, like the Nest Learning Thermostat, can learn your schedule and temperature preferences and adjust accordingly throughout the day. These devices can sense when someone is in a certain room and activate the heating and cooling appropriately or go into standby mode when the house is empty. No need to get up to change the settings either; Nest and similar systems can be controlled from your phone or tablet.

    Smart Home Security

Smart home security systems allow you to monitor your home even when you're away. Many advanced systems like ADT Pulse bundle the ability to automate your home's temperature, lighting, and appliance control with other futuristic touches like smart door locks that you can operate remotely. You can even add real-time video capabilities to your package.

    Kitchen of the Future

Several intelligent devices allow you to bring your kitchen into the modern age. Smart ovens can automatically calculate cooking temperature and time by sensing what's inside it, while Wi-Fi-enabled coffee makers let you start brewing your first cup of coffee before you're even out of bed using an app.

    by Watson Realty | Oct 23, 2017

Halloween is almost among us, which means time is running out to get your spook on. If you aren’t in the scary spirit yet, don’t fret! There are still a few frightful attractions in Jacksonville that will fill you with fear just in time for All Hallows’ Eve.

    Haunt Nights at Adventure Landing

    Beaches - 1944 Beach Blvd.

    Thursdays-Sundays through Halloween

Adventure Landing’s annual Haunt Nights boasts four chilling haunted houses for intrepid explorers to investigate, including an ancient mental asylum and a research facility that’s overrun with zombies. If you need to shake off some of the fear, there’s even a ticket package that includes a go-kart race or a game of mini-golf. Tickets can be purchased here.

    Alcatraz Haunted Prison

    Westside - 7830 Normandy Blvd.

    October 28th, 29th, & 31st, 8 p.m.

Alcatraz Prison officially closed on March 20, 1963. All the prisoners were transported off the island. At least, that’s what we’ve been told. But what really happened? You can learn the bone-chilling truth for yourself at the free Alcatraz Haunted Prison stage production. Be warned, however: children under the age of 12 will not be admitted to the show due to its intense nature.

    The Old Spanish Trail

Westside – 13535 West Beaver St.

Friday & Saturday Nights through October 28th

Take a trip out to The Old Spanish Trail for a journey into madness you won’t soon forget. This sprawling two acre trail features three distinct themes for you to creep through. At the center of it all is a haunted building from the 18th century. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or online here.

    Warehouse 31 Unleashed

    Southside - 11262 Beach Blvd.

    Thursday-Sunday through November 4th

Face off against deranged clowns in a twisted circus or investigate a formerly popular meat factory that was mysteriously shut down over night more than a hundred years ago. These are only two of the four terrifying haunted houses available for brave visitors willing to face their fears at Warehouse 31 Unleashed. If you think you’ve got what it takes to make it through each horrifying setting, grab your ticket here.

    The Haunted Brewery

    Northside - 111 Busch Drive

Friday & Saturday Nights through October 28th

Jacksonville’s Anheuser-Busch brewery has been overrun by all manner of foul creatures that go bump in the night! Gather up your squad and lead the hunt against the zombie horde that’s descended upon the brewery. Once you’ve done some damage to the zombies, head to the haunted putt ‘n crawl or the Creepy Clown CarnEVIL for some relaxation. For more details on these attractions and more, head here.

  • Watson Realty Corp. Appoints David Mutters Vice President and Managing Broker of Port St. Lucie and Vero Beach Offices

    by Watson Realty | Sep 05, 2017

Watson Realty Corp. is pleased to announce David Mutters joined the company as Vice President and Managing Broker of its new Port St. Lucie and Vero Beach offices.

In his new position, Mutters will lead and oversee day-to-day operations for the Port St. Lucie and Vero Beach offices, including residential and commercial real estate sales, mortgage loan services, title services, agent recruiting and staff operations.

Jeff Fagan, Regional Vice President of Watson Realty Corp., announced Mutters’ appointment last week. “David brings a wealth of experience and success in South East Florida,” said Fagan. “I am excited to have David join our leadership team and look forward to growing in our new market territory.”

Mutters has over 35 years of residential and commercial real estate experience and is a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). These prestigious designations are held by less than one percent of realtors in the nation. Mutters owned his own real estate brokerage in Cape Coral for many years, and later sold to a major national brand.

Ed Forman, President of Watson Realty Corp., echoed Fagan’s sentiments on Mutters joining the company. “I’m very excited to have David Mutters join our leadership team,” said Forman. “David has a great successful history in the real estate business.”

As a resident of Indian River County, Mutters knows the local market well. He moved to Florida in 1978 to begin his career in real estate, after selling his paging and mobile phone business, Advanced Radio Communications Inc. Prior to that, Mutters served in the U.S. Army as a Military Police Sergeant, and later went on to work in the marketing department for Ashland Oil.

“I am excited about the opportunity to work for Watson Realty Corp., whose reputation and service is second to none,” said Mutters. “I’m so looking forward to many successful years applying my knowledge and experience to help grow Watson Realty Corp in South Florida”

In her new position, King will lead and oversee day-to-day operations for the Hammock office, including residential and commercial real estate sales, mortgage loan services, title services, agent recruiting and staff operations. She will be working out of the Palm Coast office with Vice President/Managing Broker Ryan Ford until renovations are complete on the Hammock location in early September.

  • All Florida Realty Merges with Watson Realty Corp.

    by Watson Realty | Jul 17, 2017

Watson Realty Corp. is pleased to announce the merger of All Florida Realty with Watson Realty Corp., effective July 14, 2017.

Watson Realty Corp.’s Chairman of the Board, William A. Watson, Jr., stated, “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to merge All Florida Realty Property Management, Real Estate Sales and Real Estate School into the Watson Realty Corp. network of offices.”

All Florida Realty was founded by David Bessette in 1972. Mr. Bessette recalls, “Many years ago when we were entering the field of real estate sales, property management and general business operations my wife, Pam, and I looked around to see who our competition was to determine how to set up our own business. Mr. Watson and Watson Realty became our model of what a successful real estate operation should look like. Our merger with Watson Realty Corp. will take us all to a new level and more importantly, we will remain viable in each of our market places and continue providing quality services to our customers, agents and employees.”

Over the years Mr. Bessette has grown his company into a full-service real estate brokerage with a comprehensive and integrated suite of resources including property management, residential sales, real estate school, and commercial and personal insurance services.

“We are excited to join the Watson Realty Corp. family as this merger will bring tremendous opportunities for all of us and the businesses we serve. The leadership of Watson Realty Corp. shares the same core values of professionalism, business ethics and level of customer service that we have embraced over the years. It has been an absolute pleasure working with the Watson team of professionals throughout this merger process”, said Kathy Pass.

David Bessette, Owner and Broker of All Florida Realty as well as Kathy Pass, the company’s Chief Operating Officer, will both become members of Watson Realty Corp.’s management team.

Mr. Watson went on to say, “We are very pleased to grow our footprint in Florida and are excited to offer additional Real Estate services in the Melbourne, Port St. Lucie, Vero Beach and Port Charlotte area, plus merge our two Daytona area Property Management Offices.

With the merger, Watson Realty Corp. will also be acquiring Florida Insurance Concepts and Pinnacle Association Management as additional services to its existing Family of Services.

Wendell Davis, Executive Vice President of Watson Realty Corp.’s Property Management Division echoes Mr. Watson’s sentiments, “We are excited to have David Bessette's All Florida Realty group and its family of services join with Watson Realty and its Family of Services. The expansion of Watson Realty's footprint southward down Florida's East Coast allows us to deliver our culture of Legendary Customer Service to more Florida residents.”

REAL Trends America’s Best Real Estate Agents ranks over 12,600 residential real estate professionals solely based on their excellence in real estate sales during calendar year 2016. All production numbers are independently verified by a third-party in order to ensure accuracy and report integrity. “This group of highly successful real estate sales agents represents less than 1 percent of all real estate practitioners in the United States,” says Steve Murray, publisher of REAL Trends America’s Best Real Estate Agents and president of REAL Trends.

To qualify for inclusion, an individual agent must have closed at least 50 transaction sides or $20 million in sales volume in 2016. For real estate agent teams, the minimum is 75 transaction sides or $30 million in closed sales volume. The individuals ranked in America’s Best Real Estate Agents had an average of 73 transaction sides and an average sales volume of almost $37 million. Teams ranked in America’s Best Real Estate Agents had an average of 144 sides and an average sales volume of almost $61 million. This ensures that only the best of the best are included on the prestigious list.

The average residential real estate agent in the United States closed 8.6 transaction in 2016 and had less than $1.3 million in sales,” said Murray. To say that Watson Realty Corp. is an exceptional real estate company is an understatement. To attain this level of sales is truly outstanding.”

“We are also pleased that two of the nation’s most prominent online real estate websites, Trulia® and Zillow®, have partnered with REAL Trends to bring a superior level of customer exposure of these sales agents’ performance,” Murray added.

“The achievements that this select group of associates earned for their success represents the service our brand offers to its customers everyday. We are proud of each associate for earning this well-deserved recognition,” said Ed Forman, president of Watson Realty Corp. “In addition to their impressive sales, their unparalleled ambition and customer support truly sets them apart in the real estate industry."
