  • Marianne Fearon Earns LeadingRE Certified Sales Specialist (LSS) Designation

  • Watson Realty St. Augustine Beach Helps St. Francis House

    Watson St Augustine Beach answered the recent need from St. Francis House for food and supplies. The office collected Azaleas, vegetable plants, high chairs, pillows and pillow cases and presented a check for additional food items.  Associates either purchased items or provided funds to purchase the needed items.  The donations were presented to Renee Morris, the Executive Director of St. Francis house, who greatly appreciated the receipt of these items on behalf of the residents. 

    St. Francis House (http://www.stfrancisshelter.org) serves the needs those in transition, single men, single women and families.  The hope is help homeless residents to get back on their feet.  Their value statement includes a commitment to treat all people with respect, equality, and dignity.

    The goal of Watson Cares (http://www.WatsonRealtyCares.com) is to positively impact the communities where the associates work.   • New Leader for Watson Cares

    Watson Realty Corp. is pleased to name Donna Overman as the new Watson Cares Council General Chair. Donna, VP/Managing Broker of the Mandarin North office, steps into the leadership role after serving on the Watson Cares Council in 2012. From the group’s beginning in the fall of 2009, Overman held the role as the Mandarin North Watson Cares office representative and was very involved in planning and implementing office charitable activities and supporting the Watson Cares Council on company-wide events.

    The Watson Cares Council leadership for 2013 includes the following list of individuals which represent all regions of Watson Realty Corp.ä

    With so many offices already involved in supporting local charities, Donna encourages all the 40 sales offices and additional company divisions to continue to pursue their passion for community service and to use the Watson Cares “banner” to fulfill that passion.

     

    The Watson Cares initiative reports upcoming events of individual offices with the goal of getting neighboring offices, customers and the community involved to maximize the results for each charity. To date, Watson Realty Corp. offices raised over $83K for Juvenile Diabetes, $13K for Children’s Home Society, and donated hundreds of pounds of food and supplies to local food pantries. Additional events have been held to benefit other charitable organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, FL-GA Blood Alliance, Betty Griffin House, local Humane Societies, USO, and many others from northeast and central Florida and St. Marys, Ga.

     

    The company-wide effort for 2013 is an initiative started last year entitled, “Opening Doors, Feeding Neighbors.” This innovative program brings Realtors® together with anyone moving who would like to donate items from their kitchen pantries. Watson Cares is pleased to partner with home builder, DR Horton (www.DRHorton.com), who is sponsoring the collection tote bags this year. The filled bags are collected by Realtors® from the donors and picked up by Feeding America/Second Harvest (www.FeedingAmerica.org) to be delivered to local food banks.
