  • Watson Realty Corp. Receives Website Quality Certification

    Watson Realty Corp.™ announced that it has received the Website Quality Certification (WQC) from Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® (LeadingRE), which presents the certification to member real estate firms that demonstrate best practices in website design and Internet communications. 

    The company’s website, www.WatsonRealtyCorp.com, earned the certification after reaching high marks on a range of criteria, including usability, design and content, interactivity, responsiveness, search engine optimization and more. 

    “We introduced the WQC in 2009 to recognize member websites that combine high standards for design, technology and customer service,” said Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® President/CEO Pam O’Connor.  “Each year, we revisit the criteria to ensure the standards reflect the most current online trends, and we are especially proud to recognize the firms whose sites earned the WQC this year.” 

    The WQC is an optional program available only to firms affiliated with LeadingRE and requires re-certification every two years.

    Originally from Indiana, Batchelder was raised in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and completed a law degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville.     VP/Managing Broker Mary Ann Bongiorno is pleased to welcome J. Donald Kimball to the Ponte Vedra Beach office. Kimball joins Watson Realty with executive management experience and after a successful career in the automobile industry. Kimball raced Chevrolets in his younger years and then transitioned to working for and owning high-end car dealerships. He graduated from the General Motor Institute and the Honda Executive Management and BMW Executive Management schools.

    Kimball specializes in representing buyers and sellers in the luxury home market with ocean front homes and homes in gated communities. Kimball is active in the PGA Partners Club. He enjoys golfing, watching football, baseball and racing. His favorite pastime is spending time with his family. He and his wife, Shelby, have been married for 50 years and have five daughters and eight grandchildren. They are active in a charitable organization they founded that raises awareness and educates on the topic of hereditary breast and ovarian cancer (HBOC).

  • Florida Realtors Selects Diana Galavis for Leadership Academy

    Congratulations to Diana Galavis of the Hidden Hills
    office for being one of 14 Realtors state-wide to participate in the Florida Realtors® 5th annual Leadership Academy.   

    The Leadership Academy was established in 2008 to identify emerging Realtor® leaders ready to get involved, make a difference and enhance their leadership skills. The goal of the Academy is to empower its participants to develop the skills needed to lead a committee, a Realtor® association or a community activity.

    “We are very excited about this year’s program and its participants,” says 2013 Leadership Academy Committee Chairman Mark Palace, owner-broker of Palace Properties International in Indian Harbor Beach, Fla. “My committee did a wonderful job of interviewing and selecting our 14 participants; we’re looking forward to a great class this year!” 

    Members of the Leadership Academy will participate in classroom activities, group and independent study sessions, team-building and goal-setting exercises, leadership techniques and communication skills enhancement. In addition, they will collectively work on their class project designed to promote greater awareness of the need for organ donation.

    Galavis’s volunteer activities include service to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International, Toys for Tots, Meals on Wheels, and sponsoring a needy family.  In addition, Galavis is a 2013 Young Professionals Network Advisory Committee District Contact, 2013 Northeast Florida Association of Realtors® Young Professionals Network Chairperson, 2013 Global Networking Forum Vice Chairman, and 2013 local chapter Woman’s Council of Realtors® Secretary.

    As part of the Florida Realtors® Leadership Academy, Galavis states “Volunteering for the Realtor® organization has been a part of my business plan and goals from the beginning of my career.  I began serving with Women’s Council of Realtors®, NEFAR Global Business Council and now spearheading the Young Professional Network at our local association.  I find giving my service to the Realtor® community is not only rewarding but also beneficial to the business.”

    Galavis was awarded the Watson Realty Corp.™ President’s Award for 2012 for closing more than $3 million in sales with her business partner, Millie Kanyar.
